New Delhi, March 12, 2024 – Wing Commander (Dr.) Pushkal Dwivedi (R.) has been appointed as the Chief Secretary of the Crime Prevention Department at the Global Human Rights Trust (GHRT), a United Nations-approved organization under the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA). His appointment marks a significant step in global crime prevention, justice enforcement, and human rights advocacy.
GHRT, an ISO 9001:2015 certified organization, operates under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment in accordance with the Indian Trust Act, 1882. As a UN DESA-approved entity, GHRT plays a critical role in safeguarding human rights and implementing crime prevention strategies on an international level.
In his new role, Wing Commander Pushkal Dwivedi will be responsible for designing and executing crime prevention policies, collaborating with law enforcement agencies, and strengthening international human rights frameworks. With a tenure lasting until March 31, 2029, he will work on developing global crime control initiatives, policy reforms, and strategic enforcement measures to enhance justice systems worldwide.
His extensive background in national security, leadership, geopolitical acumen, Organisational ability and strategic governance makes him an ideal choice for this position. His expertise in law enforcement coordination and organizational leadership is expected to bring systematic and impactful changes to GHRT’s crime prevention efforts.
Apart from his appointment, Wing Commander Dwivedi was honored with an Honorary Doctorate in Organizational Leadership by the Asian International University and GHRT last year, recognizing his contributions to institutional governance and strategic advancements.
As per Dwivedi, in this role, his primary focus remains on crime prevention, anti corruption and effective leadership at GHRT, where he aims to drive rational crime prevention policies and human rights initiatives on a global scale.
His leadership at GHRT, coupled with the organization’s United Nations affiliation, is expected to enhance international cooperation in combating crime, improving justice accessibility, and enforcing human rights protection.
