Rooted in India’s Mining and Steel Heartland
Chhattisgarh is one of India’s most important states for coal, iron ore, steel, aluminium, cement and power. That location has shaped RHPL. Its customers run some of the toughest equipment duty cycles in the country, and that demand has pushed the company to work with precision: matching each assembly to the machine it is meant for, and building it to survive the site where it will work.
Conditions in the region are demanding. Hoses on open-cast mining equipment face abrasive dust, summer temperatures that often cross 45°C, heavy monsoon moisture and long operating shifts. An assembly that performs well in a workshop can fail quickly in that environment if the hose, fitting, routing or protection is not chosen correctly.
The company’s team brings more than two decades of experience in the hydraulic hose trade. RHPL was recognised as a Priority Industry by the Directorate of Industries, Government of Chhattisgarh, in 2015, and today supplies mining, steel, cement, aluminium, power, construction and infrastructure operations, as well as government buyers through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM).
Led by Engineering, Not Just Trading
RHPL is led by Directors Hemant Jain and Dheeraj Jain. Dheeraj Jain, a mining engineering graduate of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur, brings a first-hand understanding of how mining equipment is operated and maintained.
“Most of our customers don’t come to us just for a hose. They come because a machine is down or a shutdown is coming, and they need the right part without trial and error,” said Dheeraj Jain, Director, Raipur Hydraulics Private Limited. “Having studied mining, I know what downtime costs at a mine. That is why we treat every enquiry as an engineering problem first and an order second.”
That approach shows in how the company works. RHPL identifies each requirement from the OEM part number, drawing, sample or machine model, and clarifies missing details with the buyer before production begins. Over the years it has built a large internal database of machine and part references that helps it match replacements accurately. For planned shutdowns, the company prepares preventive replacement kits in advance, so every assembly is ready before the machine is opened up and the equipment can return to work on schedule.
What RHPL Makes
RHPL’s core range covers hydraulic hose assemblies for high-pressure circuits, industrial hose assemblies for air, water and general plant service, stainless steel corrugated hose assemblies, hose fittings and adapters, and protective sleeves and guards. Its machine-wise hose kits cover equipment from Komatsu, Caterpillar, Hitachi, Volvo, Liebherr, BEML, Kobelco, Sandvik, Epiroc and other manufacturers, letting maintenance teams source a complete set of assemblies for a machine in a single order.
The Raipur facility holds thousands of stock bins of hoses, fittings and components, and handles a steady flow of hose jobs every day, from single urgent replacement assemblies to complete machine kits for planned overhauls.
Assemblies are produced on controlled hose-cutting machinery, crimped on Finn-Power machines to the specified dimensions, then cleaned, inspected and pressure tested before dispatch. The company also machines fittings in-house on CNC machines, which allows it to supply custom and non-standard end connections. RHPL is an independent aftermarket manufacturer and not an original equipment manufacturer (OEM); brand and machine names are used for identification only.
Built for Long-Term Partnerships
For new customers, RHPL usually begins with a practical, low-risk step such as a trial quantity, a single-machine kit or a breakdown kit. Once performance is proven, this often leads to standardised part references and regular repeat supply. Every item supplied is identified and recorded, so the same part can be reordered reliably months or years later. The company also supports customers with equipment-wise hose kit development and OEM part-number cross-referencing, helping maintenance departments build a clear, documented record of the hoses fitted on each machine.
“When a maintenance manager calls us, he should feel he is talking to someone who understands his machine,” said Jain. “In this business, trust is earned one correct assembly at a time.”
Looking Ahead
With its new website, raipurhydraulics.com, presenting its product range, a part-number search and a machine-wise hose kit catalogue online, RHPL is making it easier for buyers across India, and increasingly from overseas, to send part numbers and receive written quotations. From its base in Raipur, the company plans to keep expanding its machine coverage and product catalogue for mining and heavy-industry customers across the country and beyond.
