The program is built on three pillars that define a modern professional education. Students learn in an international classroom at RIT Dubai, interact with faculty and peers from diverse cultures, and see first-hand how business decisions are made in a global commercial centre. Through this collaboration, DPGU gives its students what textbooks alone cannot – direct exposure to global business practices, industry perspectives and new approaches to problem-solving.
At the heart of the program is the joint certification. Students who successfully complete the planned sessions and activities will earn a credential that strengthens their academic profile and tells employers and universities that they have learned and performed in a global environment – a clear advantage when applying for jobs, internships and higher studies.
The industrial visit to Team Visuals Solutions takes students inside a working organisation in the UAE. They will see how a professional company plans and delivers its work, how teams collaborate, and how client expectations are met in a fast-paced, competitive market – connecting what they learn in class with how industry actually operates.
The UAE is a global centre for trade, finance, tourism, technology and startups. Many multinational companies run their regional operations from here, and professionals from around the world live and work side by side. For DPGU students, it is the ideal setting to observe leadership, teamwork and decision-making in a truly multicultural environment.
Speaking about the initiative, Dr. Somnath P. Patil, Pro-Chancellor, Dnyaan Prasad Global University (DPGU) by Dr. D. Y. Patil Group, Pune, said, “Today’s students will work in a world without borders, so they must learn to think globally. This visit to Rochester Institute of Technology, Dubai, and Team Visuals Solutions will open their eyes to new ideas and new ways of working. We want our students to return with greater confidence, deeper understanding and a clear vision for their careers. I am confident this experience will help them grow into responsible, future-ready leaders.”
DPGU believes education must prepare students for life, not just for examinations. Programs like this sharpen communication skills, build adaptability and open professional networks. Several days in a foreign country also teach independence, discipline and respect for other cultures – qualities every future manager and leader needs.
Dr. Rohini S. Patil, Chief Operating Officer, Dnyaan Prasad Global University (DPGU) by Dr. D. Y. Patil Group, Pune, said, “At DPGU, we believe meaningful education empowers students to understand the world through real experiences. This global immersion and joint certification program lets our students engage with international perspectives, explore industry practices and build the confidence to navigate an interconnected world. Such initiatives reflect our commitment to creating globally aware, industry-ready graduates with the skills, adaptability and vision to succeed in their careers.”
The Office of International Affairs worked closely with RIT Dubai and Team Visuals Solutions to design a visit that balances academic learning, industry exposure and cultural experience. DPGU thanks Rochester Institute of Technology, Dubai and Team Visuals Solutions for their support and for welcoming its students, and looks forward to growing this partnership into more exchange opportunities, joint learning programs and shared projects for students and faculty.
