Justajoo, an independent music collective known for its distinctive blend of contemporary rock and Indian musical influences, is scheduled to perform live at The Piano Man in Gurugram on November 14, 2026. Founded by Anandajit Goswami and Divyam Gaur, the collective brings together original songwriting, expressive vocals and an ensemble of musicians to create a sound that explores emotion, identity, longing and the search for meaning.
The upcoming performance will feature the collective’s original compositions, offering audiences an opportunity to experience its music in a live setting. With a sound that moves between contemporary rock and Indian musical traditions, Justajoo seeks to create a musical experience that goes beyond conventional genre boundaries. Its approach combines modern arrangements with the expressive depth of Indian instrumentation, allowing different musical influences to come together organically.
At the heart of Justajoo are its founding members, Anandajit Goswami and Divyam Gaur. Goswami contributes as a vocalist, lyricist and music composer, while Gaur brings his skills in vocals, guitar and music production. Their collaboration forms the creative foundation of the collective, with original songwriting remaining central to its musical direction. Through their compositions, the duo explores familiar human experiences and emotions, presenting them through melodies and arrangements that reflect their individual and shared sensibilities.
Justajoo’s musical journey began taking shape through a series of independent releases. Its songs include Fanaa and Naam, released in 2024, followed by Dhulokona, Maati and Aisa bhi ho jaye kabhi in 2025. In 2026, the collective added Jacquelin, Bipod, Ekta Khali Mukh and Talaaq to its catalogue. These releases reflect its continued engagement with original music and its effort to develop a distinctive identity within India’s independent music scene.
The collective’s live performances are shaped by an ensemble that brings together a diverse range of instruments and musical contributions. Ranajoy plays drums, Neeraj Brahmo handles bass guitar, Isha Maheshwari performs on keyboards and vocals, and Ishan Dubey contributes electric guitar and vocals. Nimit Jain plays percussion, while Zohaib brings the sarangi into the group’s musical arrangements. Sound engineer Himanshu Mamgain is part of the team supporting the technical aspects of its performances.
The inclusion of the sarangi alongside electric guitar, bass, drums and keyboards is an important element of Justajoo’s musical identity. The contrast between the instruments creates possibilities for different textures and moods, allowing the collective to explore the meeting point of contemporary rock and Indian musical expression. Rather than limiting itself to a single style, the group uses its ensemble format to give each composition its own character.
For Justajoo, music is closely connected with the idea of justajoo itself: the act of seeking something deeper, whether it is meaning, connection or a better understanding of human experience. The collective’s artistic philosophy centres on exploring emotions and questions that form part of everyday life. Its songs are intended to create space for reflection while allowing listeners to find their own interpretations and personal connections.
The collective is steadily building its presence through digital music platforms and live performances. Its original compositions are available on Spotify, while its social media channels provide updates about its music, performances and other activities. With a growing body of original work, Justajoo continues to develop its sound through collaboration, experimentation and the exploration of diverse musical influences.
The November 14 performance at The Piano Man, Gurugram, will mark another opportunity for the collective to present its music to a live audience. As it continues to develop its repertoire and expand its reach, Justajoo remains focused on creating original music that brings together contemporary sounds and Indian influences while maintaining an emotional connection with listeners.
For Justajoo, the journey is as important as the destination. Every composition offers another opportunity to explore the human experience through music, and every live performance creates a space for that exploration to be shared with an audience.
