Bhilai, Chhattisgar — For most people, a Ford Mustang GT500 is a poster on a bedroom wall — a symbol of speed and ambition that stays just out of reach. For Pukala Ashwin Rao, 24, founder of The Profit Planet (TPP), it has become a milestone marking years of grinding to build Central India's trading education ecosystem from the ground up — starting from the small town of Bhilai.
Pukala Ashwin Rao has spent over 7 years in the markets, and founded The Profit Planet in 2023 with a simple but bold mission: make serious trading education accessible beyond India's metro cities. In a short span, TPP has grown into a network of 10+ centers across 3 states, training over 6,000 students in Smart Money Concepts, Price Action, Risk Management, Forex, and Equity markets — an MSME-registered, Infosys Springboard–certified academy.
Alongside TPP, Ashwin has built Finance Ka Doctor, a personal finance content brand reaching audiences across Tier 2 and Tier 3 India, and Trade Genie, an AI-powered trading tool currently in development.
"The Mustang was never just about the car," Pukala Ashwin Rao says. "It's a dream I've carried since childhood. Every batch, every center we opened, every late night building the business — that dream kept me going."
The GT500 — one of the most powerful and iconic Mustangs ever built — now stands as more than a personal reward. It is only the second such car registered in the entire state, and the first Mustang in the city, making it as rare a sight on the road as Ashwin's journey has been in the industry. For TPP's growing community of students and franchise partners, it's a visible reminder of what disciplined, long-term thinking can achieve — a lesson that mirrors exactly what the academy teaches in the markets: patience, conviction, and playing the long game.
