Muhammed Ameen and Jamsheer E, the dynamic duo behind Edwin Academy, brought a wealth of experience and a shared vision to the table. Ameen, an ex-expat from Abu Dhabi with a strong background in HR and education, returned to Kerala during the pandemic, determined to address the growing issue of unemployment among the youth. Jamsheer, an MBA graduate from Kannur University, combined his expertise in business development, motivational speaking, and career coaching to complement Ameen’s vision.
The two founders crossed paths while working for the same company during the pandemic, eventually discovering their shared concern for the lack of industry-ready skills among Malayali students. Their collaboration birthed Edwin Academy, a platform aimed at equipping graduates and postgraduates with the practical skills necessary to thrive in today’s competitive job market.
Addressing a Crucial Gap
Unemployment remains a significant challenge in Kerala, with many academically qualified individuals struggling to secure jobs due to a lack of industry-relevant skills. Edwin Academy’s mission is to bridge this disconnect between traditional education and professional requirements. The academy offers an industry-oriented curriculum designed to enhance technical knowledge alongside critical soft skills such as communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
“Universities and colleges often fail to equip students with the skills needed to succeed in the professional world,” said Muhammed Ameen. “We’ve addressed this by tailoring our syllabus to meet industry demands, ensuring our students are not just qualified but also capable.”
To date, Edwin Academy has successfully placed over 3,000 candidates in reputable organizations, with many alumni attributing their career success to the academy’s comprehensive training programs and dedicated placement assistance.

“Our curriculum was developed in collaboration with industry experts, addressing 12 critical aspects that were missing in traditional education systems,” noted Jamsheer E. “This ensures our graduates are job-ready from day one.”

Recognized as an authorized skill partner of Glocal University, STED Council and a skill partner of Skill Development Council Canada, the academy provides students with internationally certified programs. These collaborations, coupled with partnerships with prominent firms like Medistribe, P& Johnson, and Nesco, have enhanced the academy’s placement network, creating a bridge between students and industry leaders.
