DRAMA FAME GOSSIP , BABY , I WAS HYPNOTIZED ( PART 1)a2lready released across India and international markets on more than 150 digital platforms, these latest festival achievements add further prestige and credibility to both projects. While audiences have already embraced the music videos, the growing appreciation from international film festivals demonstrates their technical excellence, artistic value, and cinematic quality.
Speaking about the importance of film festivals, Anindgita Dasgupta said:
"Sending projects to film festivals is not a new trend—it has always been one of the most respected ways to evaluate creative work from technical, aesthetic, and artistic perspectives before presenting it to a mass audience. When a project receives recognition or positive reviews from industry experts and festival juries, audiences gain confidence that the work has genuine merit. They know it has already been judged on its craftsmanship before they invest their time, money, and emotions."

She further compared the process to the automobile industry:
"Just as buyers are offered a test drive before purchasing an expensive car, film festivals work like a quality test before a wider commercial release. If a project is officially selected or honoured by respected festivals, audiences know that it has already been examined by experienced professionals. It assures viewers that they are going to watch a technically and aesthetically well-made project."
According to Dasgupta, while audience opinions will always differ based on personal taste, film festival recognition establishes a benchmark for technical quality.
Anindgita Dasgupta added that , "People may love or dislike a story, performances, or genre even after any film /web series /music video which wining awards ,official selection ,honourable mention from different film festivals —that is completely natural. Every filmmaker accepts both appreciation and criticism with maturity. However, when a project has already been recognised by experienced film festival juries, it becomes clear that its technical standards, artistic execution, and cinematic language have met professional expectations. Film festivals don't guarantee commercial success, but they certainly validate craftsmanship."
She also emphasized that a filmmaker's ultimate goal is to satisfy audiences, while believing that expert evaluation should come first.
"My aim is always to impress audiences. But before that, I prefer to have my work evaluated by experienced film professionals. That way, viewers know they are watching a project that has already passed an important creative benchmark. Even if someone personally doesn't connect with the story, they can still appreciate the effort and quality behind the production."she added .
Anindgita Dasgupta acknowledged that some critically acclaimed films may not always become mainstream successes, but believes that artistic recognition and audience preference are two different aspects of cinema.
Dasgupta says that , "Some film festival favourites may not appeal to every section of the audience, and that is perfectly normal. Acceptance and rejection depend on individual taste, mood, and expectations. However, festival recognition ensures that a project cannot simply be dismissed as technically poor or artistically worthless."
Discussing her creative philosophy, she added:
"I believe sending projects to film festivals is a confident filmmaker's approach because it welcomes evaluation by industry experts. In this journey, I have always been inspired by legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray. He introduced Bengali cinema to the global stage through international film festivals and earned worldwide respect for Bengali artists and storytelling. I deeply respect that legacy and continue to follow that tradition." Although "Drama Fame Gossip" and "Baby I Was Hypnotized (Part 1)" have already been released worldwide as music videos, Anindgita Dasgupta revealed that they represent only a glimpse of much larger cinematic ventures.
She concluded: "These music videos are only the beginning. They serve as cinematic trailers for much bigger films that are currently under production. Both are mega projects, and audiences will gradually discover their complete vision as the journey unfolds." With multiple international recognitions already secured in 2026, Anindgita Dasgupta continues to establish herself as an emerging creative force whose work is receiving appreciation not only from audiences but also from film festival juries around the world.
