Adding to the excitement, the opening ceremony will be graced by acclaimed actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood, making the launch a celebration that goes beyond the court.
VCL arrives with a clear purpose to give Indian volleyball the stage it deserves. With professional franchises, competitive squads, and a national platform, the league aims to bring the intensity of top-level volleyball closer to fans while creating greater opportunities for players to showcase their talent.
The inaugural season will see 10 franchises battle it out for VCL glory: Ayodhya Garjan
Delhi Dynamites, Garvi Gujjus, Haryana Hurricanes, Hooghly Hitters, Emperia Marathas, Namma Bengaluru Smashers, Punjab Aerostrikers, Rajasthan Spikers, Tamil Titans.
The first match of VCL Season 1 will see Emperia Marathas take on Punjab Aerostrikers at 6:30 PM, followed by Haryana Hurricanes vs. Tamil Titans at 8:15 PM at the Noida Indoor Stadium.
The league has already built significant anticipation following its inaugural player auction, which featured a ₹9 crore league purse, with franchises competing to assemble their squads from some of India’s top volleyball talent. Now, the players have been picked, the teams are ready, and the court is set.
Fans can experience the action live at the Noida Indoor Stadium, while audiences across India can catch VCL through Sony Sports Ten 3, DD Sports, Sony LIV, and Waves OTT.
The inaugural season runs from 6 to 23 October 2026, promising nearly three weeks of competitive volleyball and a new sporting spectacle for fans across the country.
