Curated by Fenny Luthra Goyal, the exhibition offers a glimpse into Palak's creative journey. Visitors will see ideas take form across canvas, wood, ceramic, fabric and more, in a collection built for homes and spaces rather than gallery walls alone.
The artist behind OBRA
Palak Gupta is not an artist who sticks to one style or one surface. Her studio, OBRA The Palak's, approaches art as a quiet expression of luxury and presence: work that is meant to be lived with, not just looked at.
That range shows clearly in her body of work. A monumental mother elephant and her calf rise from a grainy, earth-like texture. A sleeping leopard is built from raised black rosettes on a shimmering gold ground. A meditative Lord Shiva carries hand-lettered lines of the Gayatri Mantra, with sculpted rudraksha beads and a trishul that lift off the canvas.
Then the mood shifts. A trilogy of tuxedo-clad chimpanzees plays poker in monochrome, each lit by a single pop of red, blue or green. Three Indian women in floral sarees and bold cat-eye sunglasses blend tradition with attitude. A Rajasthani haveli series takes the viewer from a painted palace door to a terrace set for tea and a woman gazing across a lake at sunset.
Alongside these are minimal textured works: all-white relief panels of grass and dragonflies, a grid of hand-built tiles broken by a single red block, and sculpted petals spiralling in shades of turquoise.
What ties it all together is texture and detail. Many of Palak's works are meant to be touched by light, changing character as the day moves across them.
In the artist's words
"The studio has been busy, and now it's time to share the work. I want people to walk in and find a piece that feels like it already belongs in their home. Art should not just fill a wall. It should become a part of how a space feels."

Why it matters for Chandigarh
Chandigarh has a long relationship with art and design, and a growing audience of collectors, architects and homeowners looking for original work with a personal story. OBRA's exhibition gives them a chance to meet the artist, see the pieces up close and understand the process behind each one.
For interior designers and architects, the show is also a ready source of statement pieces for residential, hospitality and corporate projects.
