How NowOrCry works for shoppers
NowOrCry shows deals from nearby shops first, grouped by everyday categories such as food, fashion, beauty, fitness and groceries. Each deal clearly states the item, the price and how much you save, along with how long the offer runs.
Some offers are digital coupons: you claim them in the app and the shop scans a QR code that changes every few seconds, so a screenshot cannot be reused. Others are walk-in offers that anyone can simply ask for at the shop. Shoppers can save deals for later, follow the shops they like, and get an alert when a followed shop posts something new or a saved deal is about to end.
Prices are shown in the shop's own currency, the way they appear on its price tag, so the app works the same for a café in Kochi and a supermarket in Kuala Lumpur.
Built for small shops that want more walk-ins
For shop owners, NowOrCry is a way to fill quiet hours and win repeat customers without running expensive advertising. A shop creates its page, verifies it through its Google Business Profile so shoppers know it is real, and starts posting deals from the app or the website.
The platform includes tools that help a small shop write offers that actually get claimed. Writing help suggests clearer deal titles and catches spelling mistakes, a photo fixer centres product photos on a clean white background, and a forecast estimates how a deal might perform and the best times to post it. Shops can see views, claims and redemptions, reply to reviews, send push alerts to nearby shoppers on paid plans, and boost a deal when they want extra reach.
Shops can start on the free Starter plan. Paid plans in India start at ₹999 a month, and every country has its own local pricing.
Brands and franchises on one network
Beyond individual shops, NowOrCry offers tools for brands and franchise chains. Brands can run campaigns through partner shops and see verified redemptions, while franchise groups can launch one offer across all their branches and give regional teams access to the outlets they manage.
Subeesh Bose's vision: a native deals platform for every town
NowOrCry is founded by Subeesh Bose and developed by Connester SB Global Tech Private Limited, based in Pathanamthitta, Kerala. His idea was not just another coupon site, but a platform that feels local wherever it is used.
"Most small shops already run good offers. The problem is that only the people walking past ever see them," said Subeesh Bose, Founder of NowOrCry. "I built NowOrCry so a shop can reach the people around it in a few minutes, and so shoppers never miss a deal that is literally down the road."
That local-first thinking shapes the product. A shop in Malaysia shows its prices in ringgit, a shop in Singapore in Singapore dollars and a shop in Kerala in rupees, exactly as on its own price tag, while a visitor from another country sees a rough conversion underneath. Every shop is verified through Google before its deals reach shoppers, so people can trust what they claim.
"A deals app should feel native to the town it serves, whether that is Kochi, Kuala Lumpur or Austin," Bose said. "Big brands have always had ways to reach customers. My aim is to give the neighbourhood shop the same reach, and to make the platform fair to the shopkeeper, the brand and the customer at once."
Bose sees NowOrCry growing from local shops into a network where brands and franchise chains run campaigns through the same neighbourhood stores, with every redemption verified at the counter.
