It all began in 1968 when late Mr. Hakimuddin Sahab moved to Bhopal with his parents in search of better opportunities that the city would offer.
He initially worked as a window glass installer but soon started a tea stall with his brothers in 1969. Recognising the growing love for and potential in the food industry as well as his passion towards cooking, he acquired a shop from the local authorities and set up ‘Hakeem Hotel’.
Gradually, the restaurant gained popularity and became famous for its authentic mughlai flavours and its 5 star hospitality.
In 2005, there began a new chapter when Mr. Tahir Husain, son of late Mr. Hakimuddin Sahab, joined hands to take the brand to newer heights. He soon established ‘Lazeez Hakeem’ in the heart of Bhopal, M.P.Nagar.
With a deep understanding of how the market worked and the importance of customer preferences, he implemented various strategies that set the brand completely apart and above the rest.
While implementing these strategies, Mr. Tahir Husain had one thing clear in his head - that Lazeez Hakeem should become a household name amongst everyone. Recognising the power of providing high quality services, he focused on making the experience at Lazeez Hakeem like no other!
He not only expanded the brand’s reach but also reinforced its reputation as a go-to destination for exquisite non-vegetarian cuisine. Under his expertise, Lazeez Hakeem won various competitions and awards.

Born into a family with a great history of culinary excellence, Mr. Mohammad Husain, son of Mr. Tahir Husain developed and recognised his passion for food and hospitality at a very early age.
To refine his skills, he pursued:

- MSC in International Hotel Management, University of Surrey, UK
- MA in Culinary Arts, University College Birmingham, UK
Adding onto the culinary excellence and expertise his family carries, Mohammad is already reaching some really significant milestones. During his academic journey, Mohammad won a gold medal in a national level biryani competition in Bangalore, using a recipe passed down to him by his grandfather.
He was also selected as a delegate at the 7th Chef Summit held in Delhi in 2019. He completed his industrial training from Sheraton Grand Bangalore, earning recognition for his exceptional skills.
