Dimapur, Nagaland | January 31, 2026: The Human Rights Help Association Nagaland (HRHAN) successfully organised a Free Thyroid Screening Camp on January 31, 2026, at S.P. Colony, Kali Mandir, Kuda Village, C. Khal, Dimapur, in collaboration with Patient Care Diagnostics and the Regional Ayurveda Research Centre. The camp aimed at promoting early detection, awareness, and preventive healthcare related to thyroid disorders and other basic health conditions.
The health camp commenced at 10:00 a.m. and witnessed an overwhelming response from the public, with a large number of local residents turning up to avail themselves of the free thyroid screening and basic health check-up services. The strong participation highlighted the growing need for accessible healthcare services at the community level.
A dedicated team of medical professionals, diagnostic experts, and support staff ensured the smooth and systematic conduct of the screening process. Participants were provided with initial medical guidance and counselling based on their test results, along with information on maintaining thyroid health through timely diagnosis and lifestyle management.
Thyroid disorders are often described as a “silent disease” due to their subtle and easily overlooked symptoms in the early stages. Keeping this in focus, the camp placed special emphasis on public awareness, educating beneficiaries about common symptoms, risk factors, and the importance of regular health screenings. Preventive healthcare was highlighted as a key step in reducing long-term health complications.
The initiative received wide appreciation from the community, with many beneficiaries expressing gratitude to HRHAN and its partner organisations for bringing essential healthcare services directly to the people. Several participants noted that such free medical camps are especially beneficial for economically weaker sections who may not have regular access to diagnostic facilities.
Expressing satisfaction over the successful execution of the programme, the organisers thanked the local residents for their cooperation and support. The Human Rights Help Association Nagaland reaffirmed its commitment to public welfare, health awareness, and community service, and stated that more such health screening and awareness programmes would be organised in the future.
The programme was conducted under the leadership of District President Smt. Pooja Das Paul, Vice President Smt. Aloka Debnath, and District Secretary Shri Rishuv Paddor, with the active support and coordination of all HRHAN team members, whose collective efforts contributed to the success of the camp.
