BJP Mahila Morcha of Noida Mahanagar celebrates TEEJ festival
Noida 30th July: A lovely event on the occasion of Teej was organised by Smt. Sharda Chaturvedi, President of the Noida Mahanagar Mahila Morcha, Bharatiya Janata Party at Noida, Sector-35-U.P. The major goal of this event was not only to commemorate Teej, but also to encourage more ladies about women empowerment and how to become self-sufficient. Sharda ji's vision and goal are very clear, demonstrating her commitment to empowering women.
Teej is the name of many festivals of Hinduism. This festival is celebrated by Hindu women and it celebrates the bounty of nature, arrival of rains and greenery surrounded by social activities, rituals and customs. Hariyali Teej, famous in Northern India, welcome the monsoon season and are mainly celebrated by girls and women with henna on their hands, wearing red and green clothes, song, dance and prayer rituals. The monsoon festival of Teej is mainly dedicated to Parvati and her union with Shiva. Women observe fast in the celebration of Teej.
