Bengaluru’s G Corp The Icon Residents Seek Updates on Society Elections and Maintenance Initiatives
BENGALURU, October 9, 2026: Residents of G Corp The Icon, a residential complex on Thanisandra Main Road in North Bengaluru, are seeking updates on the society election process, administration and the maintenance of essential services. The discussions reflect residents’ interest in strengthening communication, ensuring continuity in apartment management and maintaining shared facilities.
The 584-apartment complex, home to more than 2,000 residents, is represented by ICON North Co-operative Society (TINCOS). Residents have recently highlighted the importance of receiving timely information about the society’s administrative roadmap, maintenance activities and the next steps towards restoring an elected governing body.
Society Administration and Election Process
ICON North Co-operative Society has been under Special Officer administration since January 3, 2026, following the resignation of its second elected Governing Council on December 10, 2025.
The society’s first elected council assumed office on April 13, 2022, and resigned on August 8, 2023. A second council took charge after elections held on November 11, 2023, before stepping down in December 2025.
Following the resignation, a Special Officer was appointed to oversee the society’s administration. Residents are now seeking further information about the procedural steps and anticipated timeline for conducting fresh elections.
A status report prepared by residents noted that, as of July 2, 2026, an Election Officer had not yet been appointed and an election schedule had not been published. Residents have requested an update on the process, including the preparation of electoral rolls and the milestones required to complete the elections under the applicable rules and bylaws.
Representations Submitted to Co-operative Authorities
As part of their efforts to obtain procedural clarity, society members submitted a 23-page representation to the Registrar of Co-operative Societies on August 4, 2026.
A subsequent representation, dated August 29, was addressed to B. V. Gangadhara, KAS, Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Zone I, Bengaluru. The correspondence outlines the society’s administrative status and refers to Section 28B(3) of the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959.
The residents have requested guidance on the appointment of an Election Officer or Returning Officer, preparation of electoral rolls, communication of an election schedule and an indicative timeline for completing the process.
The representations are intended to help members understand the applicable procedures and the steps required for the society to return to an elected governing structure.
Maintenance and Essential Services Remain Important Priorities
Alongside governance, residents have emphasised the importance of consistent maintenance and effective communication concerning common facilities.
Water quality, lift availability and the upkeep of motors and generators are among the areas on which residents would welcome clear updates. Regular testing, preventive maintenance and timely communication can help large residential communities monitor essential services and understand the measures being undertaken to maintain them.
Water-quality testing by an authorised laboratory can provide residents with reliable information about compliance with applicable standards. Similarly, maintenance schedules, inspection records and updates from relevant service providers can help clarify the operational status of lifts and other shared equipment.
For a residential complex of this size, routine attention to water-treatment systems, sewage-treatment facilities, electrical equipment and fire-safety installations is an important part of property management.
Importance of Transparent Communication
A status report prepared by residents in July 2026 also referred to operational matters involving vendor payments, employee salaries, housekeeping and water- and sewage-treatment operations.
The current status and circumstances surrounding these matters would benefit from clarification by the relevant administration and service providers. Regular updates on maintenance activities, service requests and planned corrective work could help residents stay informed about the management of shared infrastructure.
Clear communication between residents, society administrators and service providers can support informed discussions and help address operational concerns constructively.
A Roadmap for Governance and Community Management
The immediate focus for residents is obtaining clarity on the election process while receiving timely information about the maintenance of common facilities.
A communicated election roadmap would help society members understand the procedural requirements and anticipated milestones. In parallel, updates on water testing, lift servicing and other maintenance activities could provide greater visibility into the management of essential services.
G Corp The Icon was developed by G Homes Private Limited. The responsibilities of the developer, society administration, maintenance providers and regulatory authorities are determined by the applicable agreements and legal framework. Updates from the relevant parties would help establish the current position on the matters raised.
Supporting Effective Apartment Management
The developments at G Corp The Icon highlight the importance of continuity, transparency and member participation in the administration of large residential communities.
Effective apartment management depends on coordinated maintenance, clear communication and established procedures for governance. Timely information about elections and common facilities can help residents understand administrative decisions and participate constructively in the community’s affairs.
As residents seek further clarity, updates from the concerned authorities and service providers would help establish the next steps for society elections and provide greater visibility into the management of essential services.
