Animals in Chennai, Coimbatore & other Tamilnadu Cities gets help this Summer by PFCI & Royal Canin

Students of KET College Erode with PFCI & Royal Canin Water Bowls

Global warming has caused rising temperatures and hotter summers. Animals face distress due to lack of water and suffer from parched throat and dehydration. The objective of the Water Bowl Challenge is to encourage people to place water bowls in their houses, terrace, balcony, garden, office, streets, and wherever possible to quench the thirst of birds and animals.

Access to clean water is a privilege for animals, who otherwise have to depend on unhygienic sources. Understanding their plight, Arun Prasanna, PFCI Founder requested everyone to place a bowl of water for animals. Since its inception, The Water Bowl challenge has attracted the attention of Celebrities, noted Industrialists, and Bureaucrats and their participation has helped spread awareness among people.

This year’s Water Bowl Challenge was partnered by reputed pet food brand, Royal Canin and Govind of Royal Canin said, “It’s an important cause to support considering this year’s summer has already scorching heat. One small step from Royal Canin in collaboration with PFCI towards making a better world for pets.”

In 2023, PFCI expects the same enthusiasm and excellent participation. The pandemic has raised significant awareness among people and made them sensitive to the care of Flora & Fauna. PFCI had been distributing Bowls since 2014.

Partnering with Royal Canin & Nature and Animals Conservancy,  PFCI conducted  the Water Bowl Challenge in the following Cities,

● Chennai Water Bowl Challenge 2023 – T Nagar, 11th March

● Coimbatore Water Bowl Challenge 2023 – Commissioner of Police Office, 14th March

● Salem Water Bow Challenge 2023 – Jay School, 13th March

● Erode Water Bowl Challenge 2023 – KET College, 13th March

● Tirupur Water Bowl Challenge 2023 – Kids International School, 13th March

PFCI had kept more than 1500 Bowls in 2021.

Another 2000 Bowls was distributed in 2022.

This year, 2023, a target of 4000 Bowls is set to be given for Animals to Beat The Heat,

Water Bowl Challenge is one of its kind initiatives where we bring everyone together to quench the thirst of many community pets who doesn’t have access to fresh water.” The aim of the challenge is to encourage residents to keep water bowls outside their houses, gardens, public places, and streets for community pets. We will continue our purposeful efforts on key pet welfare issues and support to drive momentum with multiple Animal Welfare Organizations partners across identified cities of India to continue this drive throughout the summer.”
