Adv. Dheeraj Raghav Highlights Alumni Spirit at MMH College’s Historic 75th Anniversary Meet

The celebrations opened with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana. Guests and alumni were welcomed with bouquets, mementoes and traditional angavastram. The atmosphere soon turned nostalgic as former classmates reunited and shared memories of their college years.

One of the highlights of the programme was a specially prepared audio-visual documentary tracing the 75-year journey of MMH College and showcasing its achievements and contribution to education. The presentation received appreciation from the gathering.

The event witnessed the presence of eminent personalities from the judiciary, education, administration, medicine and media. Former Delhi High Court Judge Talwant Singh attended as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Adish C. Aggarwala, former President of the Supreme Court Bar Association, was the Guest of Honour.

Senior members of the college administration and faculty also attended the celebration, including Prof. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal/Vice-Chancellor, and Prof. Pankaj Tyagi, Dean of the Law Department, along with faculty members Prof. Aparna Malhotra, Prof. Sunaina Trisal, Prof. Reema Aggarwal, Prof. Seema Sharma, Dr. Poonam Chaudhary and Mr. Anil Singh.

In his address, the college principal underlined the institution’s seven-decade legacy and the contribution of its alumni across different professional and social spheres. He said the achievements of former students remain an important part of MMH College’s identity.

As part of the celebration, alumni who have made significant contributions in different fields were honoured with mementoes and certificates of appreciation. Cultural performances featuring music, dance and poetry added further colour to the programme.

For many alumni, the most emotional moments came during visits to their former classrooms and familiar campus spaces. Former students exchanged memories, met teachers and classmates and reflected on their journey since leaving the institution.

The gathering also resulted in renewed commitments to strengthen the alumni network and collaborate on research, scholarships, student development and CSR initiatives.

The organising committee comprised Rajiv Tyagi, Deepak Bansal, Shiv Kumar, Puvali Singh, Vishakha Singh, Monica Verma, Gulshan Sharma, Adv. Dheeraj Raghav, Surbhi Jain, Mehak Jadon, Avadhesh Verma, Himanshu Kumar and Rahul Gupta.

The celebration concluded with the national anthem and a group photograph, followed by a community lunch. The Alumni Meet 2026 ultimately served as both a celebration of MMH College’s 75-year legacy and a renewed commitment by its alumni to remain connected with and contribute to their alma mater.
