Built in collaboration with her father, Dr. Navneet Goyal, Waggrr combines essential pet-care tools into a single platform, including pet health records, an AI-powered pet wellness assistant, a pet marketplace, a dedicated pet community, and reminder systems for ongoing pet care.
The idea for Waggrr emerged from a simple but relatable experience. After briefly bringing home a Husky puppy, the family realized the responsibilities and challenges involved in caring for a pet. The experience sparked a conversation about how pet parents often struggle with scattered health records, fragmented information, and the anxiety that comes with caring for an animal companion.
This inspired Kiara to think about a platform where everything a pet parent needs could exist in one place.
“I wanted to create something that could reduce anxiety for pet parents when they are worried about their pet’s health,” said Kiara Goyal. “Many people struggle to keep track of important information. Waggrr helps organize that information and makes it easier to find answers and support when they need it.”
Developed and launched in just 20 days, Waggrr is available as a web application and can also be installed on mobile devices. The platform allows pet parents to maintain comprehensive digital health records that include vaccinations, veterinary visits, medications, deworming schedules, grooming history, laboratory reports, surgeries, weight records, and other important health information.
One of the platform’s standout features is its AI-powered pet wellness assistant. Unlike generic AI chatbots, the assistant can utilize the health information entered by pet parents to provide more personalized guidance and context-aware responses. The feature is designed to help pet owners better understand routine health concerns and wellness-related questions while encouraging professional veterinary care when needed.
Kiara played an active role in shaping the user experience of the platform. She helped design workflows for major modules, suggested navigation improvements, and contributed ideas around how pet parents would interact with the platform on a day-to-day basis.
According to Dr. Navneet Goyal, the project demonstrates how accessible technology has become for young innovators.
“What started as a learning project quickly evolved into a real product,” he said. “I was amazed by how naturally Kiara approached problem-solving. She focused on understanding how pet parents think and what information they need at different stages of their journey. The experience showed us how AI can empower young minds to turn ideas into reality.”
The journey also became an important learning experience for Kiara. When asked what advice she would give to other children interested in building with AI, her answer was straightforward:
“Start understanding the workflows, conceptualize them, and then use AI to bring them to life.”
For Kiara, one of the most exciting moments was watching ideas transform into a working application.
“The coolest part was seeing AI-generated code become a real app that people can actually use,” she said.
Currently, Waggrr includes pet health records, an AI-powered pet wellness assistant, a pet marketplace, and a pet community. Future plans include teleconsultation features, partnerships with veterinarians, shelters, groomers, pet stores, breeders, and animal welfare organizations. The team also hopes to collaborate with animal NGOs to create initiatives that support the health and well-being of stray animals.
With early users already joining the platform, Kiara hopes Waggrr will continue to grow into a trusted companion for pet parents.
“Our vision is simple,” she said. “We want Waggrr to become a one-stop solution for pet parents, available whenever they need help.”
