The World Leadership Forum honored Ms. Shyna Sunsara, twin sister of Col. Sofiya Qureshi, with the Leadership Award at the International Conclave 2025 held at the historic UK Parliament, House of Lords, London.

For the past two decades, Shyna Sunsara has been tirelessly working towards community reform, women’s empowerment, and the education of underprivileged and footpath children. Alongside her social work, she is also an eminent leader, environmentalist, economist, fashion designer, and film producer. Her upcoming horror film, where she serves as Co-Producer, is set to release soon.

At present, she continues to juggle multiple passions—music, filmmaking, and environmental sustainability. Over the years, she has led numerous impactful initiatives, including Miyawaki forest plantations, urban greening projects, she has planted more than 2800000 trees, rainwater harvesting systems, and advanced waste-management campaigns following the principle of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. She remains deeply committed to education programs for underprivileged children and projects that empower women across communities.

In the world of modelling, Shyna has built an impressive portfolio across editorials, runway shows, and commercial shoots. For her, modelling is not merely posing—it is a means of visual storytelling, expressing emotion, movement, and presence with purpose.

Among the twin sisters, one commands attention in olive green, serving the nation with honour, while the other shines through a kaleidoscope of achievements—as an economist, environmentalist, national-level shooter, beauty queen, and creative visionary. Together, the Qureshi sisters stand as an inspiring symbol of how ambition becomes extraordinary when rooted in service, courage, and national pride.

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi’s recent national appearance during the Operation Sindoor press briefing earned her widespread admiration as a daughter of India who embodies discipline, dignity, and exemplary leadership. Her calm, commanding presence captured the respect of the entire nation. In one of her interviews, she also spoke proudly about her military family background and her twin sister, Shyna Sunsara, highlighting the values that shaped their remarkable journeys.

She was earlier awarded at a Prime Minister’s Rally by former Prime Minister I. K. Gujral for being the only girl cadet selected to perform Slithering. She is also a national-level rifle shooter and a gold medalist, honoured by the President of India.

In addition, she has received several awards for her dedicated service during the COVID-19 pandemic. She holds prestigious titles, including Ms. India Earth 2017 and Ms. United Nations 2018.
