Shivendra Singh’s Tehrvi: Redefining Indian Short Films
In an age where romantic stories often fall into formulaic traps, Shivendra Singh’s “Tehrvi” fearlessly breaks away. The film is not a conventional love story—rather, it’s a psychological dissection of marriage, capturing the fragile intersections between passion, resentment, and vulnerability.
Written, directed, and produced by Shivendra Singh, Tehrvi is a testament to his singular vision. Through quiet tension and uncomfortable silences, Singh masterfully explores how newlywed intimacy can turn from a haven into a battleground. It’s this rawness and realism that set Tehrvi apart.
Unfiltered Performances That Hit Hard
The short film features Abhishek Duhan and Anjali Garimella, both delivering powerful, grounded performances that add emotional weight to the narrative.
Abhishek Duhan, known for Pataakha, Gabru Gang, and Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, showcases his range once again. With his upcoming project Tu Meri Poori Kahani, written by Mahesh Bhatt, Duhan's star continues to rise.
Anjali Garimella, who gained early recognition through TV commercials and her appearance on Love OK, brings subtlety and intensity to the screen, perfectly complementing the story's emotional depth.
Together, the duo brings Shivendra Singh’s vision in Tehrvi to life with a realism rarely seen in short-format storytelling.
