The RVS College of Arts and Science is affiliated with the Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and we offer career-oriented education leading to graduation, post-graduation and research degrees in Arts and Science disciplines. Founded on 31st October 1986, it has grown exuberantly to become one of the biggest self-financing colleges. The college was accorded autonomous status in 2004 by UGC and re-accredited in 2014 with an 'A' Grade by NAAC.
The current educational scenario demands the chiselling of graduates not only equipped with sharp knowledge but also with the capability of facing challenges emerging out of the changing modern trends. Recognizing the needs of the industrial world, entrepreneurial domain and the arena of the public sector the RVS Group of Institutions have designed and updated, multifaceted, quality and digital-driven curricula set to trigger the vibes of creativity and innovative aptitude. With the advent of the digital era and to equip our students there are regular curriculum development activities that include inputs from our major Stakeholders, industry connect, our Alumni and of course the academic mentors who give us direction. Inclusion of trending fields such as Business Analytics, Python, Digital Marketing, Machine Learning etc. definitely gives our graduates an upper hand. Funded Research activities and involvement in Government project initiatives are a regular feature of our institution. The IQAC team works with great diligence and integrity and the NAAC recognized our efforts and the institution was awarded ‘A’ certification.

The great launch of Youth for fit India (YFFI) at RVS Educational Trust, Sulur, Coimbatore… Health Matters Most at the RVS Campus. A healthy India is a strong India. Youth for Fit India is our slogan. In March 2020 as the pandemic hit the globe we realized that every living soul must have a Healthy lung to remain healthy and fit. The environmental changes are fast reducing the oxygen content in the air, therefore we at RVS emphasize the value of the green cover. Our Campus is rich with trees, flowering plants and medicinal plants that we nurture and value as our asset. Recreational activities, NCC & NSS serve as building blocks to inculcate discipline and respect.
We were highly honoured to have the Esteemed Shri. V.Abdurahiman, Minister for Sports, Wakf & Haj pilgrimage, Posts and Telegraphs, Railways Government of Kerala, motivates and encourages our students and faculty to remain fit and healthy. The College organized a Mini Marathon with the Theme Healthy Lungs. Many students and faculty joined in this event and the winners were duly rewarded.
RVS Siragugal the digital platform of the RVS Educational Trust Sulur, Coimbatore (RVS College of Arts and Science, RVS IMSR, RVS Matriculation higher secondary school, RVS College of Pharmaceutical science, RVS College of Physiotherapy, RVS College and School of Nursing, Ayurveda College Coimbatore) has showcased these and many other events thus standing as a bridge of collaboration with Alumni and integration of cultures all over the world.
