Sanjay Lunia Jain to Write Biography of Tarachand Dhanuka

Slated for release in December 2024, the book will be available in both English and Hindi, broadening the reach of Dhanuka's story to diverse audiences. Author and Hindi translator Nupur Dhingra has joined the project to ensure the narrative resonates across linguistic and cultural boundaries.

This new work by Jain aims to restore long-overdue recognition to Dhanuka's contributions. Speaking about the project, Sanjay Lunia Jain said, "Tarachand Dhanuka worked tirelessly to bring people together. Renowned for safeguarding India’s Chicken Neck Corridor, a critical land link connecting the northeastern states to the rest of the country, Dhanuka’s efforts ensured regional stability amid complex geopolitical challenges. 

A pivotal aspect of Dhanuka’s legacy is his leadership within the Indo-Nepal Friendship Association (INFA). Under his guidance, INFA championed key infrastructure projects, including the construction of the Mechi Bridge, which strengthened connectivity between India and Nepal, bolstering trade and cultural exchange. Dhanuka also advocated for the Mahananda Basin project to mitigate flooding, protect agricultural land, and improve irrigation systems—highlighting his commitment to environmental and economic sustainability.  Sanjay Lunia Jain is a renowned biographer and storyteller.
