LSHM-2022 conference aimed at bringing academic scientists, educators, engineers, industry researchers, leading doctors, practitioners, and research scholars to present, exchange and share their experiences and research results, and discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted. Prestigious experts and professors were invited as keynote speakers to deliver the latest information in their respective expertise areas.
The conference was opened by the Founder & Chairperson of CIIR, Dr Shweta Singh, followed by the opening remark Conference Chairman Dr R. N. Baral Sir and Prof. (Dr) R. M. Mehra Sir, Advisor CIIR.
The conference was initiated by the Guest of Honour Shri Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra, Co-founder & Chancellor, Shobhit University, addressed the gathering. Mr Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra discussed about the COVID times and the important role of life sciences in improving the situation. He also stressed at the importance of basic search that can have a social impact. “Digital transformation and healthcare delivery models need to be addressed,” he concluded.
This was followed by the enlightening speech of Chief Guest Shri. Lav Agarwal, who is currently serving as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India. He talked about the current status of the Omicron virus and vaccination in the country. “India can actually bring the concept of Heal in India, Medical value travel and our health care services can be touted as best health care services which can be made available and support the world at large,” he said. While discussing about Life Sciences and health care Management in India, he mentioned that the Support and capability India has of doing quality research at a much lower cost than any other country in the world. He also said that India has the potential to emerge as a research hub.
Two very eminent guest speakers, Dr Raj Narayan Tiwari, director ICMR-National institute for research in environmental health, and Prof. Kannan Krishnamoorthy, Proprietor KK Biotech, were also invited who presented their respective work at the conference.
The conference was divided into two sessions. In the first sessions, Dr Ashwani Kumar Thakur, Professor, IIT Kanpur; Dr Debnath Pal, Professor IISC Bangalore, discussed their research and various developments in the life sciences.
The second session was a panel discussion on the topic “Future of healthcare innovations, and unique opportunities envisioned for life science entrepreneurship,” which was moderated by Ms. Himanshi Singh, Team, CIIR, where they discussed about various aspects of life sciences and how the Indian Govt. is helping in developing the ecosystem of innovation in life science. The panel also discussed about the partnership between medical centres, academia, and industries. It can be further motivated and many such topics.
