In what is expected to be one of the largest yoga-led global wellness initiatives ever organized, Akshar Yoga Kendraa, under the leadership of renowned yoga master Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar, is set to attempt 21 new Guinness World Records on International Yoga Day, June 21, 2026, in Bengaluru.
Building on its remarkable legacy of already achieving 21 Guinness World Records, Akshar Yoga Kendraa is preparing for another historic milestone that aims to bring together thousands of participants from India and across the world through the transformative practices of yoga and meditation.
The event will unite individuals from diverse backgrounds, including students, educators, senior citizens, yoga practitioners, wellness enthusiasts, specially-abled participants, and children from welfare institutions. Frontline personnel from organizations such as the Indian Air Force, CRPF, CISF, BSF, and Karnataka State Police are also expected to participate in various record attempts.
Months of preparation, training programs, and awareness campaigns have been conducted to ensure participants are ready for the large-scale initiative. All record attempts will follow the official documentation and verification protocols established by Guinness World Records.
A key highlight of the event will be Tratak Meditation, one of the ancient yogic techniques known for cultivating concentration, mental clarity, emotional balance, and heightened awareness. Participants from multiple locations will take part in synchronized sessions as part of the record-breaking efforts.
Speaking about the initiative, Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar, Founder of Akshar Yoga Kendraa, said:
"These records are not simply about numbers or achievements. They represent the collective power of humanity coming together with a shared intention of wellness, consciousness, and harmony. Yoga teaches us that individual transformation leads to global transformation. Through this initiative, we hope to inspire people everywhere to embrace healthier, more mindful lives."
Recognized globally for his work in preserving and promoting authentic yogic sciences, Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar has dedicated his life to making traditional yoga practices accessible to modern communities worldwide. Through Akshar Yoga Kendraa, he has trained millions of practitioners and certified yoga teachers across numerous countries.
The upcoming Guinness World Record attempts are expected to serve as a powerful demonstration of yoga's ability to transcend geographical, cultural, and social boundaries while fostering unity and well-being.
As anticipation builds for International Yoga Day 2026, Akshar Yoga Kendraa's ambitious mission stands as a celebration of India's ancient yogic heritage and its growing influence as a global force for health, peace, and human connection.
