Govind Yadav pursued management education at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and later at Indian Institute of Management Kashipur. After completing his studies, he embarked on a corporate career with an annual compensation of approximately ₹45 lakhs.
However, in 2016, Yadav made a life-altering decision to leave the corporate world and dedicate himself to rural development and food authenticity. He established SRDP Agri Pvt Ltd, an organization aimed at creating self-employment opportunities for rural youth within their own communities. Within three years, the venture achieved a turnover of nearly ₹45 crores, demonstrating both scalability and grassroots impact.
Despite his professional achievements, Yadav faced a personal dilemma. Living away from his village for over a decade, he struggled to find desi ghee that matched the purity and taste of what he had grown up consuming. Even premium market brands fell short of his expectations.
