From the Court to a Bigger Dream: The Basketball Journeys of Akash Kumar and Rohit Sehwag

Through Skyblaze Academy in Pune, Akash Kumar has created a platform where young athletes can learn basketball fundamentals, improve their game intelligence and develop confidence.

Rohit Sehwag’s journey, meanwhile, began in 2013 while he was studying in Class X in Visakhapatnam. Born in Haryana and raised in an armed-forces family, discipline and commitment became important values in his life from an early age.

Encouraged by family friends because of his height, Rohit took up basketball and eventually represented his school at the national level. His journey continued through Goa, where he represented his college, Varunapuri Ballers Club and Don Bosco Fatorda in 3x3 basketball.

After moving to Pune and building a career in real estate, Rohit continued pursuing his basketball ambitions. Today, he plays as a shooting guard for Skyblaze Academy and has participated in FIBA 3x3 tournaments.
