The invitation is linked to Dr. Rajat Gupta's work in aesthetic plastic surgery, particularly his academic and clinical work in body contouring and abdominoplasty.
For me, an international meeting such as the ISAPS World Congress is an opportunity to discuss the work that I have been doing in my own practice and to listen to surgeons working in different parts of the world. A large part of aesthetic surgery is based on how we assess patients, plan procedures and deal with the small differences that can change a surgical result.
The 2026 ISAPS World Congress will take place in Cancún with its Residents' Symposium and pre-congress activities beginning on October 27, followed by the main programme from October 28 to 31. ISAPS says the meeting will feature more than 200 faculty members, over 800 talks and speakers from 72 countries.
Apart from Moderating and chairing session in Intra operative with Masters programme on 28th October, Dr Rajat Gupta shall also be delivering lecture on Combining Technologies for Body Conoturing. His PURE technique shall be main point of focus in this lecture
Dr. Rajat Gupta is also scheduled to participate in the Aesthetic Insights: Lunch with an Expert programme on October 31. His session is listed under High Definition Abdominoplasty and will run from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. The format is different from a conventional lecture. ISAPS describes these sessions as smaller, informal discussions where surgeons can interact directly with the invited expert, ask questions and discuss the area of surgery in which the expert works.
High-definition abdominoplasty has been an important area of Dr. Rajat Gupta's academic work. He developed the SHARP abdominoplasty technique, which has been studied in a clinical series of 128 patients. The research was published in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal Open Forum and examined the safety and patient satisfaction associated with the technique.
The subject of high-definition abdominoplasty therefore has a direct connection with the research Dr. Rajat Gupta has published. His session at ISAPS will give other surgeons an opportunity to discuss this area of his work in person.
Dr. Gupta's involvement with ISAPS also extends beyond the upcoming congress. ISAPS currently lists him as an ISAPS Expert, allowing eligible residents and associate members to apply to visit him for professional learning.
He is also listed as an ISAPS Fellowship Host in Delhi. The fellowship programme at his centre covers areas including body contouring, breast surgery and facial aesthetic surgery, with fellows able to gain exposure to clinical and operating-room work.
Within India, Dr. Rajat Gupta also holds the position of Secretary of the Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (IAAPS) for the 2021–2026 executive committee.
His academic work extends beyond abdominoplasty. Dr. Gupta's current professional profile lists research publications in areas including breast surgery, body contouring and patient safety, along with his involvement in surgical education.
The ISAPS World Congress will bring together surgeons working across different areas of aesthetic plastic surgery. The scientific programme includes body contouring, breast surgery, facial procedures, rhinoplasty, patient safety and other areas of aesthetic medicine.
For Dr. Rajat Gupta, the Cancún meeting will be another opportunity to discuss his experience with fellow plastic surgeons.
“I look forward to the discussion because these meetings allow us to talk about what works in practice, where problems can occur and how different surgeons approach similar patients. There is always something to learn when experienced surgeons sit together and discuss actual surgical decision-making.”
The selection of Dr. Rajat Gupta as invited faculty at the ISAPS World Congress 2026 adds another international teaching engagement to his work in aesthetic plastic surgery. His scheduled session on high-definition abdominoplasty will give attending surgeons a chance to discuss an area in which he has developed a technique and published clinical research.
The ISAPS World Congress 2026 will be held in Cancún, Mexico, from October 28 to 31, with the Residents' Symposium and pre-congress programme beginning on October 27.
Dr. Rajat Gupta is a board-certified cosmetic and plastic surgeon based in New Delhi and an ISAPS Expert and Fellowship Host.
