Commonwealth Youth Sports for Development and Peace (CYSDP)

In a pioneering effort to foster youth leadership, innovation, and sustainability, the Commonwealth Youth for Sports and Development Programme (CYSDP) convened with Her Excellency, The Rt Hon Patricia Scotland KC, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, in the heart of New Delhi. This high-profile event marked a pivotal moment in the collective vision to empower young leaders, drive sustainable economic growth, and champion global sports development.

Key Initiatives Unveiled

CYSDP launched multiple groundbreaking initiatives designed to amplify the voices of young leaders and create an ecosystem for progressive transformation:

Global Youth Leadership Summit (CYSDP-GYLS):

Purpose: To inspire and equip the next generation with tools, networks, and a visionary mindset to address pressing global challenges. 

Event Details: Scheduled to be held at Marlborough House, London from *28th April, 2025 – 02nd May, 2025*.

Esports Initiatives:

Commonwealth Youth for Sports. Development and Peace have unveiled the posters for two premier initiatives under the heads of:

• Esports Conclave 
• Esports Gurukul 

Objective: To position esports as a rapidly growing sector that enhances cognitive engagement, fosters skill development, and integrates digital innovation into mainstream education.

Launch of Commonwealth Economic Council:

Initiatives under the Commonwealth Economic Council and the Women Entrepreneurship Programme to foster innovation, sustainability, and inclusive economic progress by creating a circular economy across the commonwealth network.

Sports Goods Council:

 Aim: To bolster sustainable growth within the global sports industry and serve as a cornerstone for progressive policy-making in the Commonwealth’s sporting landscape.

Commonwealth Youth Sports for Development Cooperative:

Focus: Establishing a circular economy within the Commonwealth's diverse network to promote holistic changes toward a tolerant and sustainable world.

Collaborative Engagement:

Discussions included potential collaboration with *Vishwa Yuva Kendra* to further expand youth engagement in sustainable development and entrepreneurship.
