Chaiti Mahotsav: Vedanta’s stall showcasing rich tribal heritage emerges cynosure

Additionally, the stall featured an array of exhibits from Vedanta’s newly-acquired hockey team – Kalinga Lancers, the defending champions in the on-going Hockey India League (HIL). The display included the team’s mascot, player highlights, and the trophy creating an impressive engagement platform that delighted the visitors.

The stall not only attracted over 25,000 visitors during the festival, but was also graced by dignitaries like Mr. Kadraka Allapaswamy, MLA Rayagada, Mr. Nilamadhab Hikaka, MLA Bisamcuttack, Ms. Parul Patawari, IAS, Collector & District Magistrate, Rayagada and Ms. Swathy S Kumar, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Rayagada prominent among others.

Emphasizing the significance of such an initiative, Mr. Kadraka Allapaswamy, MLA Rayagada remarked, “Vedanta Aluminium's involvement in Chaiti Mahotsav not only highlights their dedication to cultural heritage, but also plays a crucial role in enhancing the socio-economic fabric of our community. Their efforts to support local artisans and promote traditional crafts are commendable.”
