Bhumi’s Skill-Ed Provides Free Training to 20,000 Underprivileged Youth; Enables 3,471 Job Placements Across India

Bhumi, one of India’s largest independent youth-volunteer non-profits, today announced a major milestone for its flagship Skill-Ed employability program: since 2021, the program has trained over 20,000 underprivileged youth, 58% of whom are women. In the 2024–25 batch alone, it has facilitated 3,471 job placements across reputed companies. At a time when the India Skills Report 2024 estimates 52% of graduates are unemployable, Skill-Ed is equipping disadvantaged youth with industry-relevant technical and soft skills and creating a direct pathway from training to employment.

Bhumi’s Skill-Ed offers free, industry-aligned training in Core Java, Python, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Web Development, Advanced MS Office, Emerging Technologies, and Personality & Soft Skills. The program targets youth aged 18–24 years from families with an annual income of ₹5 lakh or less, with academic preferences including 60%+ at UG level and no standing arrears. Training is delivered via flexible virtual and hybrid sessions and includes mentorship by corporate experts and practical career-readiness modules.
