Founded and led by 16-year-old youth entrepreneur and student leader Rishaan Sahgal, BharatMUN is a student-led organisation working with the mission of “Democratizing Opportunity Through Soft Skill Education.” Over the past four years, the organisation has worked to make quality soft-skill education and opportunities accessible to students irrespective of their geographic, socio-economic or educational backgrounds.
BharatMUN Chapter 4.0 featured discussions and simulations covering diverse areas including global governance, diplomacy, law, technology, economics, environmental policy, sports administration and Indian politics. Through the Model United Nations format, participants represented different countries and debated contemporary issues from the perspectives of their assigned nations.
The conference aimed to strengthen essential skills such as public speaking, negotiation, research, diplomacy, crisis management, critical thinking and policy-making. With participation from both first-time delegates and experienced MUN participants, the event created an environment focused on learning, collaboration and leadership.

BharatMUN's Impact
BharatMUN has established itself as a youth-led initiative committed to expanding access to opportunities beyond major urban centres. The organisation states that it has trained more than 5,000 underprivileged students in public speaking and soft skills and has impacted more than 20,000 students across India and beyond.

Students take on the roles of representatives of different countries and debate international and domestic issues while presenting their arguments from the perspective of their assigned nation.
Through this process, students develop communication, diplomacy, research, negotiation and leadership skills.
With the successful completion of BharatMUN Chapter 4.0, the organisation continues its journey towards its larger vision of democratising opportunity, nurturing young changemakers and equipping the next generation with the soft skills required to navigate an increasingly complex world.
