The occasion also marked the 33rd Foundation Day of AAP. According to Dr. Nilesh Doshi, the celebration was structured around three key pillars — an Expo, a Free Public Health Camp, and Scientific Sessions. The Health Camp provided free Ayurveda-based consultations and treatments to the general public, while the scientific sessions explored complex disease management through Ayurveda, addressing areas such as cardiology, nephrology, and surgical interventions. Over 60 leading experts shared insights aimed at equipping practitioners with actionable clinical knowledge to improve patient outcomes. Dr. Doshi expressed confidence that such initiatives would further enhance public trust in Ayurveda and strengthen its position as an effective healthcare system both in India and globally.
Speaking on behalf of the Ministry of Ayush, Padma Shri Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to taking traditional systems of medicine to every individual across the world. He referenced a third-party survey by the National Sample Survey Office (NSSO), revealing that 95% of India’s rural and 96% of its urban population are aware of Ayurveda, with nearly 50% actively practicing it – a powerful testament to Ayurveda’s growing credibility.
He also shared a remarkable statistic: in the past 10 years, more than 9,500 research papers have been published in the field of Ayurveda, surpassing the total from the previous six decades. This surge reflects the scientific community’s increasing focus on evidence-based Ayurveda. The Ministry has set a target to grow the Ayush sector from its current size of $48–50 billion to $200 billion by 2030, with research, public trust, and global integration as key pillars of this expansion.
Vaidya Kotecha highlighted flagship initiatives such as Ayurveda Day and the Har Ghar Ayurveda campaign, aimed at integrating Ayurveda into daily life through education, outreach, and scientific validation. These steps are vital to not only preserving Ayurveda’s legacy but also positioning it as a globally respected wellness science supported by modern evidence.
Looking ahead to the International Day of Yoga, he announced upcoming Ministry initiatives including 10 signature events across India. A key highlight is Yoga Bandhan, a cultural and yogic exchange involving five Indian yoga experts visiting ten countries and five international experts visiting India. Other initiatives include the Yoga Mahakumbh and the development of 1,000 dedicated yoga parks across India. These efforts align with the global campaign “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, promoting public health through the integration of Yoga and other Ayush systems.
AAPCON 2025 also featured a vibrant Exhibition Pavilion, where top Ayurvedic companies from India and abroad showcased cutting-edge products, services, and research. With a daily footfall of over 1,000 visitors, the event offered enriching platforms for seminars, panel discussions, live workshops, and focused sessions on Ayurveda’s role in modern health challenges. Topics ranged from digital healthcare marketing and corporate hospital collaborations to international career opportunities for Ayurveda professionals – ensuring that both seasoned practitioners and young researchers benefited from the knowledge exchange.
