From Aakko to Independent Recognition A Song Reintroduced Through Cinema
Chennai: Producer Deepan Boopathy has reflected on the evolving journey of the Tamil track “Enakenna Yaarum Illaye”, which has recently been featured in the 2026 film Love Insurance Kompany. Originally produced for the film Aakko, which did not see a theatrical release, the song went on to establish an independent presence among listeners.

The track, composed and performed by Anirudh Ravichander and written by Vignesh Shivan, was released outside of a film context. According to Deepan Boopathy, the production process was part of a collaborative effort involving multiple contributors, with the intention of supporting a broader creative project at the time.

Over the years, the song developed a steady listenership through digital platforms. Despite not being attached to a released film initially, it continued to reach audiences across different age groups and maintained engagement over time.

From Aakko to Independent Recognition

Speaking about the early phase of the song, Deepan Boopathy noted that there were no
specific expectations regarding its long-term reach. He stated that the response developed gradually, with the track continuing to connect with listeners over time. The track was produced by Deepan Boopathy and Ratesh Velu as part of the Aakko project.

The composition and vocals by Anirudh Ravichander, along with the lyrics by Vignesh Shivan, contributed to the track’s identity during that phase.
A Song Reintroduced Through Cinema

The later inclusion of “Enakenna Yaarum Illaye” in Love Insurance Kompany, directed by
Vignesh Shivan, marks a new stage in its journey. The film provides a visual narrative that was not present during the song’s initial release.

Deepan Boopathy stated that he welcomed the decision to incorporate the track into a feature film, noting that the involvement of the original lyricist as director created continuity between the earlier project and its later adaptation. The development has enabled the song to reach newer audiences within a cinematic framework.

While Aakko did not materialise as a theatrical release, the song has continued to exist beyond that project, reflecting how certain works can find relevance over time through changing
contexts.
