Sustainable Development Goals & Diplomacy are two topics that today’s young generation should be aware about specially due to extreme sensitive geopolitics what we have been experiencing for the past few years that is impacting equation of international relations which directly or indirectly impacting economic growth in global world.
Dr.Dinesh Sabnis who himself has contributed for 14years in Government of India as a Ex. Officer and have been recently been appointed as a Addl.Representative in United Nations Geneva Office for World Fund for Development & Planning, has taken great initiative to develop understanding about topics and projects related to UN Sustainable Development Goals & Diplomacy in the minds of not only Indian students but also for students in other part of the world.
Dr.Sabnis has been aligning many events online and offline wherein students from India and abroad countries are able to connect on various platforms on topics such as Human Rights, Peace, Literacy, Non Violence and UN Relations. He has been constantly taking special efforts in reaching various permanent missions in United Nations so that special mentor topics are able to be aligned for the students to have depth knowledge from the various experienced career diplomats itself. Dr.Sabnis have also initiated collaborations and have associated with various colleges and universities in Switzerland and abroad so that students are able to receive right career guidance on topics related to UN, International Relations & Diplomacy so that more and more students are able opt it as a career.
TSA Group which is approved by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi bestowed Dr.Dinesh Sabnis “Father of Nation National Honor 2023” award on 3rd September 2023 for his exemplary and outstanding contribution in the field of Education Diplomacy & UN Sustainable Development Goals. This award is also spelled as “Rashtrapita Rashtriya Samman 2023”.
Dr.Sabnis has already received in past honors such as special medals of Mission Cross & UN NGO Honor granted by Lazarus Union while Peace Commemorative Medal that was bestowed by UN Peacekeepers Veteran Association-AISP SPIA for his successful services in projects related to Education Diplomacy & International Relations. Both this organizations are on the roster of the United Nations ECOSOC General Consultative Status.
Dr.Sabnis has always strongly believed in quote from Nelson Mandela “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” He mentioned that in today’s world right education and values are what need to be inculcated in the minds of young generation which could bring positive uprising of development and peace in this global world.
