Atgaon, Maharashtra – In a heartwarming and spiritually significant visit, Shriguru Majid Paithankar, the globally recognized peace ambassador and recipient of Maharashtra’s highest civilian honor, Maharashtra Ratna, returned to his alma mater, the Vishwatmak Om Gurudev College of Engineering. This revered institution, located in the serene surroundings of the Tansa River, holds deep personal significance for Shriguru, who spent four transformative years here during his early life.
The institution, which is based on the principles of Yoga, Dhyana (meditation), and Vedic knowledge, was a nurturing ground for Shriguru’s early development as a spiritual master and social reformer. During his visit, Shriguru expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the president of Atma Malik Institution, Honorable Executive President – Vishwatmak Om College of Engineering Shri Umesh Jadhav ji, for his lifelong dedication and commitment to preserving the pure and enlightening environment of the Atma Malik Complex.
In a touching tribute, Shriguru said, “Umesh ji’s presence has been a guiding light for not only the students but also for the staff and residents of the Jangli Maharaj Ashram. His dedication to nurturing this institution has created an environment where knowledge, spirituality, and humanity thrive in harmony.”
Shriguru Majid Paithankar’s visit was filled with moments of nostalgia, particularly when he met Shri Ashok More Ji, the food in-charge who single-handedly managed the canteen at the Atma Malik complex during Shriguru’s stay. Shri Ashok ji’s dedication to providing wholesome meals for four years was fondly remembered, and Shriguru took a moment to thank him personally for the care and attention he had shown during those formative years.
One of the highlights of Shriguru’s journey was his time at the Jangli Maharaj Ashram, where he lived as a resident while pursuing his diploma in civil engineering after completing his 10th standard from the ICSE board. It was here, in the peaceful and spiritually rich atmosphere of the Atma Malik Complex, that the foundation of Shriguru’s spiritual path was laid, and his existing personality was strengthened. The gaushala, where Shriguru spent much of his time, held a special place in his heart. Inspired by these memories, the Zariya International Gurukul of Kriya Sciences has now established Shriguru’s Gau Ashram in Murbad, Maharashtra.
The Gau Ashram aims to conserve the indigenous breed of Indian cows and promote the medicinal and nutritional benefits of desi cow milk. Shriguru’s Gau Ashram also serves as a research center dedicated to the preservation of native cow breeds, a project close to his heart that reflects his commitment to both spiritual and environmental preservation. In closing, Shriguru Majid Paithankar’s visit to the institution was not only a trip down memory lane but a reaffirmation of his lifelong mission to spread peace, spiritual wisdom, and social reform. His journey continues to inspire many, and his return to the place where it all began was a reminder of the powerful role that the Vishwatmak Om Gurudev College of Engineering and the Atma Malik Complex have played in shaping his life and mission.
