In a groundbreaking move set to redefine urban living, Jayesh Shah, the visionary Managing Director of Ravi Group, has unveiled plans for “IntelliCity,” a cutting-edge smart city project in the rapidly developing Mira-Bhayandar area of Mumbai.
The ambitious project, spanning 100 acres, aims to integrate advanced technology with sustainable living practices, creating a model for future urban development. IntelliCity will feature smart homes equipped with IoT devices, a centralized waste management system, and a network of electric vehicle charging stations.
“At Ravi Group, we believe in pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in real estate development,” Shah stated during the project launch. “IntelliCity isn’t just about building homes; it’s about crafting a futuristic, sustainable community that enhances the quality of life for its residents.”
The project’s centerpiece is a state-of-the-art command center that will monitor and optimize various city functions, from traffic flow to energy consumption. This data-driven approach is expected to significantly reduce the community’s carbon footprint while improving overall efficiency.
IntelliCity also includes plans for extensive green spaces, including rooftop gardens and vertical forests, aligning with Shah’s commitment to environmental conservation. “We’re not just creating a smart city; we’re nurturing an ecosystem,” Shah emphasized.
The project has garnered attention from urban planning experts nationwide. Dr. Amita Bhide, Dean of the School of Habitat Studies at TISS, commented, “IntelliCity represents a paradigm shift in urban development. It’s encouraging to see developers like Jayesh Shah and Ravi Group taking such innovative approaches to address the challenges of rapid urbanization.”
Shah’s vision extends beyond the physical infrastructure. IntelliCity will also feature a startup incubation center, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship within the community. “We want to create an environment that not only provides a great living space but also nurtures the next generation of innovators,” Shah explained.
This project marks another milestone in Ravi Group’s impressive portfolio, which already includes over 17,000 homes across 40 projects in Mumbai. Under Shah’s leadership, the company has consistently demonstrated a commitment to quality, innovation, and social responsibility.
The IntelliCity project is expected to create over 5,000 jobs during its construction phase and will house approximately 10,000 residents upon completion. The first phase of the project is slated for completion by 2026, with the entire development expected to be finished by 2030.
As Mumbai continues to grapple with challenges of urban growth, initiatives like IntelliCity offer a glimpse into a more sustainable and technologically advanced future. With this project, Jayesh Shah and Ravi Group are not just building homes; they’re shaping the future of urban living in India.
