From Humble Beginnings to Industry Leader – A Journey of Vision, Dedication, and Excellence
Bengaluru, India – Ashwin Kumar Reddy, Founder and Chairman of DACSS Group of Companies, is a living testament to the power of vision, hard work, and unyielding commitment. With over 25 years of unwavering dedication to the granite industry, Kumar’s story is one of extraordinary growth, industry leadership, and an unrelenting pursuit of excellence.
In 1995, Ashwin Kumar Reddy began his career, working in a renowned granite company. However, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, he made a bold decision to resign and start his own venture. In 1999, he founded DACSS Granites, a 100% Export Oriented Unit (EOU) focused on trading granite raw blocks, finished slabs, and exports. His vision was clear: to create a company that produced granite that combined nature’s elegance with unmatched durability.
Over the years, DACSS Granites grew from strength to strength. Ashwin Kumar’s dedication to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction led to the expansion of the business. The company now owns and operates granite captive mines in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu, extracting raw materials from their own quarries to fulfill export orders and meet the increasing demand for high-quality granite. The company soon became known for supplying raw blocks to other granite factories, further solidifying its position in the market.
One of the most notable achievements of DACSS Granites is the successful operation of DACSS09, a premium black shade granite named after the company. With a monthly production capacity of 500 cubic meters, DACSS09 Black Granite has earned a stellar reputation, particularly in the European market. In addition to DACSS09, the company has become synonymous with sought-after stones like Glacier White, Bengal Black, Black Galaxy, and Viscon White.
The company’s first production facility, spanning an impressive 15 acres, is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. This includes two Italian multi-wire saw machines with 70 wires and two polishing multi-head machines, ensuring precision and brilliance in every product produced. The facility is backed by a dedicated team of 200 skilled employees, all working in harmony to produce granite products that meet the highest international standards.
Ashwin Kumar’s leadership has propelled DACSS Granites to the forefront of the global granite market. Under his guidance, DACSS has become a trusted partner for international clients seeking durable, stunning materials for both residential and commercial projects. The company’s commitment to transparency, quality, and sourcing capabilities has made it a leader in the stone industry.
After celebrating 25 successful years in the granite industry, Ashwin Kumar is now diversifying the company’s portfolio. DACSS Granites is expanding into the premium marble, onyx, and quartzite markets, aiming to meet the evolving needs of the construction and design sectors.
Symbolizing his rise in the industry, Ashwin Kumar Reddy has chosen the “KING” from the chessboard as the brand logo for DACSS, proudly declaring himself the “King of Colors” in the stone industry. His decades of experience, commitment to innovation, and quality have earned him a reputation as a trusted leader in the global market.
Looking ahead, DACSS Granites is poised for even further expansion. In the coming months, the company will be adding another multi-wire saw machine to its production facility, further enhancing its capacity and ability to meet the growing demand for premium granite.
