Dr. Rajeev Menon, a writer, filmmaker, and National Organizational General Secretary of the Republican Party, has been selected for the Lord Gautam Buddha National Award 2024. Former President of India Shri Ramnad Govind and Union Minister for Social Justice Shri Ramdas Athawale will present the award at a function to be held at Maharashtra Sadan in New Delhi. This memento was given in recognition of his achievements and outstanding works in the fields of humanitarianism, peace, nature, literature, service sports, medical, cultural, education, theater, agriculture, industry, human rights, legal fraternity and social service in the country and abroad.
Dr. Rajeev Menon is a distinguished filmmaker, director, and writer. He was born into the royal family of Ramanamadam from Ettuvertil Pillamar of King Marthandavarma, he was educated at St. Paul’s School, Victoria College, and PSG Medical College. His extensive contributions to the Tamil film industry have left a lasting impact. He has also written 16 books on Hinduism and provides opportunities for young and talented artists through his creative works. Beyond his achievements in filmmaking, Dr. Rajeev Menon has made significant contributions to society. He serves as the National Secretary of the Republican Party of India (Athawale) and is the National President of Ambedkar Sena. Additionally, he is the Chairman of the Ambedkar Global Foundation and holds memberships in various government bodies, including the Railway, Censor Board, and Telephone Advisory Committees.
