Fairfield School of Law recently held its prestigious 17th Intra Induction Moot Court Competition on November 8th and 9th, 2024, at the FIMT campus. This annual event, organized by the Moot Court Society, brought together law students from BA-LLB and BBA-LLB courses, highlighting their legal knowledge, advocacy skills, and dedication to the field. The competition attracted 28 teams, which engaged in a challenging, multi-round format, including preliminary, quarter-final, semi-final, and final rounds.
The event’s success was supported by the esteemed leadership of Shri V.K.N. Bhardwaj, Chairman of the FIMT & IPHH Group, whose commitment to education has significantly influenced Fairfield Group’s development. Dr.Nalini Joshi, Executive Director of FIMT, and Prof. (Dr.) M. Afzal Wani, Advisor to FIMT, were also acknowledged for their pivotal roles in creating an inclusive, high-quality academic environment.
Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology and School of Law (FIMT)17th Intra Induction Moot Court Competition featured four rounds, where teams tackled complex legal issues, demonstrating their research skills, strategic thinking, and persuasive argumentation. Distinguished alumni served as judges, contributing their expertise to enhance the learning experience. After intense rounds, Team TC 012 emerged as the winners, with Team TC 029 taking the runner-up position. The Best Researcher award was presented to Tanisha Verma (TC 010), and the Best Speaker title went to Manasvi Sharma (TC 005).
The final day concluded with an inspiring valedictory ceremony. Student Convenor Shashanki presented an overview of the Moot Court Society’s mission, followed by the traditional lamp lighting ceremony. Dignitaries were honored, and Prof. (Dr.) SarojVyas delivered a warm welcome address, emphasizing FIMT’s dedication to nurturing skilled, ethical legal professionals.
Chief Guest Mrs.Pinki, Judicial Member of the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, encouraged students to approach their careers with integrity, while Prof. (Dr.) M. AfzalWani offered motivational closing remarks. The ceremony concluded with the announcement of winners, trophy presentations, and a heartfelt vote of thanks from Prof. (Dr.) ShavetaGagneja, Director of Fairfield School of Law.
This year’s competition not only celebrated student achievement but also reinforced Fairfield School of Law’s commitment to fostering the next generation of legal experts, embodying the spirit of justice and excellence.
