Dr Ahmed Haque was awarded the All India News Award for Journalist and Human Rights Defender from Waris Pathan, National Spokesperson of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) for his outstanding contribution in the field of investigative journalism and human rights protection.
Dr. Ahmed’s vital role in investigative journalism in unearthing the hidden wrong-doings, bringing true, fair and free information to the people, and writing for law and social justice for 7 years made him the eligible candidate for this award.
He is a B. Com Graduate with a Post Graduation degree in the field of Human Rights. Dr. Ahmed Haque has also completed a certification program in International Relations Theory and Politics.
He is passionate about his choice of being a human rights defender and wishes to pursue his passion to empower people and build a peaceful future.
As a Human Rights Activist, he believes that enforcing human rights without having a law is like doing business without mathematics. And via his knowledge and contribution, he hopes to add value to the society and build a better, united and equal future. Along with focusing on the entire society, he especially believes in empowering women and youth, especially those from minority communities in India.
