The Akhil Bharatiya Adarsh Chaurasia Mahasabha and its leaders are working on a very crucial issue which is related to children. Children are the future of our society and civilization and ensuring their wellbeing is everyone’s responsibility. The members of the organization are working to ensure that all children are able to deal with the stress of exams. After the covid pandemic, children have been almost isolated from their peers and friends. They were forced to be cut off from the conventional methods of education that they were used to. Online learning was not found to be convenient for everyone and many children found it really stressful and inconvenient to appear for online exams. This is the area where Mr. Ramesh Chaurasia, the president of the Mahasabha is trying to bring change and make children more comfortable with the changing ways of education.
“Exams are a decisive factor in children’s lives and that is why it is naturally one of the major stressors too. We know it but little is done about it. Children can find it immensely difficult to deal with exam stress. They are very vulnerable during exams due to the expectations of their parents, teachers and peers. There are a lot of factors that need to be understood when it comes to children and their relationship with exams and competition. We are working with top psychologists to ensure that we are able to find out more ways to help out children of the community when it comes to dealing with the stress which exams often bring. We organize regular discussions and seminars where children are invited. We try to organize group and one on one sessions where children are asked to share their problems regarding exam preparations. So far, we have been successful in mitigating the major stressors. Our team is working harder now because this is the time for final exams for many classes.”- Mr. Ramesh Lakhulal Chaurasia said when asked about what the organization and the team is working on.
Slow learning children need special attention
This is a very noble cause which the organization is working towards. Education is considered to be the most important thing in our society and yet no one talks about the stress which students face during exams. Many times, we tend to forget that each child is different and their learning capacities can also differ. It should be noted and accepted that slow learners need special attention and more time to learn things. They are in no way lesser than any other students. This is what the Akhil Bharatiya Adarsh Chaurasia Mahasabha is trying to spread awareness about.
“We should not forget that children have delicate minds and hearts. It is imperative that education is important for them but sometimes parents and teachers forget that the stress of performing well in exams can be overwhelming for them. Each year there are cases where children run away from their homes or fall prey to dangerous activities around the time of their exams. This is only because they are told that performing well in exams is the beginning and end of everything. With our seminars and meetings, we are trying to spread awareness among parents and educators about child psychology. We help the children to find methods to cope with the expectations of their friends and families. We try to engage teachers into developing classroom activities where children are taught stress management techniques through games and mental exercises.” – A senior volunteer who works with the organization expressed the need for awareness regarding mental stress that children face during exams.

He works with his team to ensure that all members of the Chaurasia-Tamboli community are helped to progress and to reach their full potential as a community.
