Noida 30th July: A lovely event on the occasion of Teej was organised by Smt. Sharda Chaturvedi, President of the Noida Mahanagar Mahila Morcha, Bharatiya Janata Party at Noida, Sector-35-U.P. The major goal of this event was not only to commemorate Teej, but also to encourage more ladies about women empowerment and how to become self-sufficient. Sharda ji’s vision and goal are very clear, demonstrating her commitment to empowering women.
Teej is the name of many festivals of Hinduism. This festival is celebrated by Hindu women and it celebrates the bounty of nature, arrival of rains and greenery surrounded by social activities, rituals and customs. Hariyali Teej, famous in Northern India, welcome the monsoon season and are mainly celebrated by girls and women with henna on their hands, wearing red and green clothes, song, dance and prayer rituals. The monsoon festival of Teej is mainly dedicated to Parvati and her union with Shiva. Women observe fast in the celebration of Teej.
The festival of Teej is celebrated in the state of India on different days and by different names. But the purpose of the festival of Teej is the same, enthusiasm and happiness among women.
The Mahila Morcha members were all decked out in vibrant attire and ethnic accessories, making it a day full of joy and revelry. The members of the group sang beautiful songs that gave colour to the celebration, and special arrangements were prepared for the entertainment. Smt. Neeta Najpai, Media Prabhari BJP Mahila Morcha, hosted the spectacular event.
Eminent personalities like Dr. Uma Sharma, wife of Dr. Mahesh Sharma, the M.P. for Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, and Smt. Archana Gupta, the wife of Shri Manoj Gupta, the district president of Noida Mahanagar, graciously attended the event to honour this auspicious Teej occasion and to celebrate the taste of women empowerment.
All Mahila Morcha Mandal members cordially attended the function, and members of various Mandals were honoured by Dr. Uma Sharma and Smt. Archana Gupta for their extraordinary commitment and their pioneering work in the domains of empowerment and self-reliance.
Smt. Grija Singh ji, Zila Upadhyaksh, BJP Mahila Morcha, Smt. Shivani Sharad ji Zila Maha mantri Mahila Morcha and Smt. Rajshree Gupta, Koshadhyaksh /Treasurer, were responsible for making this event successful.
This wonderful programme culminated with a crescendo of dance and an inspirational speech by Mahila Morcha President, smt Sharda Chaturvedi ji, to empower and educate more and more women.
